Abstract

Suara tiga dimensi sangat banyak digunakan dalam berbagai macam media saat ini, seperti perfilman, video game, dan musikal. Dalam menghasilkan suara tiga dimensi, interpolasi Head Related Transfer Function (HRTF) sangat diperlukan karena keterbatasan real-time system dalam menampung HRTF yang didapat dari pengukuran. Selain itu juga dapat mengurangi keperluan untuk mengukur HRTF yang jumlahnya sangat banyak. Penelitian ini menggunakan PKU-IOA HRTF Database dan membahas tiga teknik interpolasi yakni rectangular, triangular, dan tetrahedral. Dari hasil percobaan, yang dilakukan, teknik rectangular memiliki nilai mean square error terbaik sebesar 4,3363 %, dan spectral distortion terbaik sebesar 2,8246 dB. Teknik triangular memiliki nilai mean square error terbaik sebesar 4,9626 %, dan spectral distortion terbaik sebesar 3,2646 dB. Teknik tetrahedral memiliki nilai mean square error sebesar 3,7231 %, dan spectral distortion sebesar 2,7852 dB. Berdasarkan hasil MSE dan SD, teknik tetrahedral merupakan teknik interpolasi terbaik.
