Abstract

Contactless healthcare system is becoming a new trend to solve the existing healthcare system limitations. High flexibility and accessibility are the main advantages of contactless measurements. In this paper, we proposed a contactless healthcare kiosk for intelligent building application. The Remote Imaging Photoplethysmography (rIPPG) based framework to measure multiple human's vital signs, including pulse rate (PR), respiratory rate (RR), and systolic blood pressure (SBP) was developed to fulfill the performance requirement with a personal computer. Our experimental results show the Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of each measured parameters are 1.7 BPM, 0.41 BPM and 8.15 mmHg for PR, RR, and SBP respectively compared with clinical apparatus. These statistical numbers show the feasibility of using the contactless based system to measure numerous vital signs and also meet the requirements of standard healthcare device.
