Abstract

Laporan magang ini akan membahas mengenai aktivitas praktik kerja magang yang dilakukan penulis di The Breeze BSD City, khususnya pada departemen Tenant Relations. Dilatarbelakangi oleh tingginya peningkatan jumlah mal di Indonesia terutama di Jakarta membuat persaingan bisnis mal semakin ketat dan kompetitif. Hal tersebut tentunya menjadi perhatian utama bagi para developer mal untuk berlomba dalam menarik perhatian dan minat masyarakat. Melalui konsep utamanya, yaitu outdoor lifestyle centre, The Breeze BSD City menerapkan praktik ilmu public relations guna menarik minat masyarakat. Aktivitas public relations The Breeze BSD City dijalankan oleh Divisi Promotions dan Tenant Relations. Peran yang dijalankan oleh Divisi Promotions yang berhubungan dengan public relations meliputi sales promotions yang bertujuan untuk mendukung aktivitas pemasaran mal. Peran public relations juga dilakukan oleh Divisi Tenant Relations meliputi customer relationship management, dan public relations writing. Kegiatan public relations tersebut dilakukan guna mencapai tujuan organisasi, yaitu profit (keuntungan) dan akan berdampak positif terhadap kelangsungan bisnis perusahaan itu sendiri. Selama praktik kerja magang, penulis berkontribusi dalam dua divisi, yaitu divisi Promotions dan Tenant Relations dalam menjalankan fungsi public relations The Breeze BSD City.
