Abstract

Orienteering merupakan olahraga lintas alam dengan menggunakan peta dan kompas sebagai alat bantu bernavigasi. Perkembangan olahraga orienteering di Indonesia terbilang lama salah satunya karena kurangnya media informasi dan publikasi mengenai olahraga orienteering sehingga banyak masyarakat yang belum mengetahui adanya olahraga orienteering. Media informasi yang penulis buat berupa website. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah menggunakan teori Terry Lee Stone yang menjelaskan proses perancangan mulai dari tahap awal pertemuan dengan klien sampai produksi. Media informasi berupa website dipilih berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan beberapa masyarakat, ketua bidang organisasi FORMI dan beberapa anggota FONI pusat yang mengatakan bahwa website adalah media yang efektif untuk penyebaran informasi. Informasi yang dimuat dalam website yang penulis rancang mengenai hal-hal yang diperlukan apabila ingin mengikuti orienteering.
