Abstract

Cap Go Meh merupakan kebudayaan masyarakat luas Tionghoa yang dirayakan pada hari ke-15 setelah perayaan Tahun Baru Imlek. Di Indonesia, tradisi Cap Go Meh ini pun berakulturasi dengan budaya lokal sehingga menjadi sebuah kebudayaan yang khas dan identik bagi orang Indonesia. Penulis merancang set & properti yang mengkomunikasikan sebuah latar tempat, ruang, waktu, serta kehidupan masyarakat yang merupakan kehidupan sebuah keluarga Tionghoa kelas menengah ke atas yang hendak merayakan Cap Go Meh. Hasil yang dicapai dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah animasi sebagai media informasi yang dapat menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan bagi masyarakat luas khususnya bagi yang tidak mengetahui ataupun merayakan Cap Go Meh, serta bertujuan agar masyarakat lebih memahami dan tertarik dengan kebudayaan Cap Go Meh sebagai upaya pelestarian budaya Tionghoa.
