Abstract

Emosi menjadi kriteria yang penting dalam memilih dan menyusun audio visual yang nantinya menjadi satu kesatuan berbentuk film. Melalui emosi, film menjadi lebih menarik karena mampu melibatkan perasaan penonton. Emosi dapat dibentuk melalui editing, salah satunya yaitu membentuk emotional rhythm. Untuk dapat membentuk emotional rhythm, editor harus mampu membuat tiga keputusan yakni memilih shot, menentukan cutting point, serta menentukan durasi dalam tiap shot. Skripsi ini akan membahas langkah-langkah dan teknik penyuntingan yang dilakukan editor dalam upaya membentuk emotional rhythm.
