Abstract

Film horor adalah film yang mengangkat hal mistis dan pembunuhan, biasanya diadaptasi dari novel. Film Rumah Kentang (2012), karya Jose Poernomo, merupakan film horor yang mengangkat tema urban legend dan bergenre atmosfir horor. Aura horor atau seram dimunculkan sutradara tanpa memperlihatkan bentuk setan yang menyeramkan dan tidak mengeksploitasi pornografi untuk menarik penonton. Rumah Kentang bercerita tentang rumah berhantu yang selalu mengeluarkan aroma kentang busuk pada malam hari. Penelitian akan difokuskan pada menganalisa editing gambar dan suara dalam film horor Rumah Kentang.
