Abstract
Men often experience problems when determining their hair styles based on the criteria they have. In addition, men sometimes want something hair style but they do not know the criteria that are suitable for the haircut. With these problems, system design website for men's hair style using forward chaining recommendation and backward chaining method is made to assist in making decisions about the suitable hair style. Recommendation system is software that aims to help users by giving recommendations to users. In this research, forward chaining is a strategy used to get hair style conclusions based on facts. For backward chaining is a goal-driven approach, starting from the expectations of what the hypotheses want, then looking for supporting or contradictory evidence of those expectations. With this recommendation system, it can be beneficial for men to get the hair style that suits their expectations. Based on the results of a survey that has been conducted, according to the correspondent regarding the percentage of attractive appearance of 83.5%, simple functionality of 80.5%, can find hairstyles quickly and practically by 76%, when using the website understand that the men's hair style recommendation system is 77.5%, and often use to determine hair style by 70.5%. Based on the results of all the answers to the men's hair style recommendation questionnaire system, the average result was 76.66%.
