Abstract

The internship was conducated at PT Silindo Jaya in Accounting division. During the internship, the main task was providing accounting services for PT Silindo Jaya. The task performed was inputting daily sales list, keeping sales and purchases journal in Ms. Excel, matching Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable in Ms. Excel, recapitulating petty cash, keeping expense journal in Ms. Excel, completing income statement, performing and make a report of stock opname. During the internship, most of the tasks can be excecuted properly. There were some constraints found during the internship, for the examples placement of goods in warehouses that are not organized and name tags of goods were only posted on a large rack, so that when stock opname was done, there was mistake in calculation. However it was resolved by recheck items that have a discrepancy between the amount recorded and the amount when checking and attach the item label to inventory items that are separated from the large shelf. The placement of petty cash billing and purchase billing were made in the same place. so there was often a mistake in recapitulating petty cash and it takes longer to process petty cash recapitulation and it was resolved by giving a sign on the petty cash billing with the sign "PC" for petty cash so that when recapitulating petty cash can be easier and faster.
