Abstract

The purpose of this Industrial Placement is to improve writer’s skills in the Food and Beverage Division, especially in the Food and Beverage service. This program is very important for writer because writer can study in the real hotel industry and feel the practical knowledge for self-development. Before starting an Industrial Placement at Rennaisance Bali Uluwatu Resort and Spa, the writer must pass several procedures and requirement from both the hotel and the campus. This resort was founded by Ramada Renaissance in 1981, the first property located in Denver, Colorado. Renaissance Hotels itself has more than 160 hotels in 35 countries worldwide; Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & SPA is the first Renaissance hotel in Indonesia. Owned by PT.Alam Bali Internasional, this hotel is located above Balangan Beach, Ungasan, South Kuta, Badung Regency. During the Industrial Placement program, the writer was placed in R bar outlet and was trained as a waiter and also a bartender with job description includes serving guests, taking orders, making drinks, cashiering, and maintaining the hygiene in the dining area.
