Abstract

The goal of this industrial placement is to enhance the ability of the student in Room Division, especially Housekeeping Department also to give experience about the real industries. This subject started from June 2019 until December 2019 for one semester at Oakwood Hotel and Residence Surabaya which located at Jl. Raya Kertajaya Indah No.79, Manyar Sabrangan, Kec. Mulyorejo, Kota Surabaya, Jawa Timur 60116. The writer has choosen this hotel because it’s the most popular luxury five-star hotel in Surabaya and have more than 40 properties in 10 countries around Asia Pacific. During this training, the writer placed in Housekeeping department with charges in order taker, linen attendant also room attendant. During this placement, the writer had many opportunities to interact directly with the hotel staff and guests which have a wide variety of personalities, cultures and languages. This industrial placement gives many experience, skills, and knowledge about the real hotel industries which will very useful when the writer graduated.
