Abstract

The Housekeeping Department as a part of room division, becomes one of the core subjects to help the students to develop as hotelier. The housekeeping subject plays a crucial role for the students because it is the foundation to start the industrial placement in the third semester. Having the basic skills and knowledge will aid students to carry out the industrial placement and adapt to real hotel industry. The industrial placement will start from July 2019 until January 2019. Industrial placement creates an opportunity to gain more knowledge and skills by learning under the guidance of the associates. The purpose of this report is to evaluate the progress and development of the writer from six months of industrial placement in Housekeeping Department. Through this report, the reader will be able to obtain information regarding industrial placement at Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta as housekeeping personnel. There are some problems that occurred during industrial placement such as slow making bed and carelessness when using the tools. Nevertheless, these kinds of problem can be overcome by practicing continuously and always be attentive. All information contained can be a reference for juniors in hotel operation program and students from different study programs in the campus
