Abstract

The purpose of Industrial Placement for the writer is to develop the skills and knowledge about the hotel in Front Office Department, to help writer to do the job well and manage time, and to widen the network and to grow a good relation in hotel industry. The writer has enrolled this program since July 2019 until January 2020. Industrial Placement is very important because the writer can obtain tremendous knowledge in real hotel industry, learn how to adapt in real working environment, and to sharpen the skills by doing a hands-on approach in daily basis. This report is made as partial fulfillment for the course curriculum and hopefully it can give the readers information about the hotel industry. During Industrial Placement, the writer has to face and solve some personal matters, such as to run the operational in GRE without assistance from the staff. Besides that, the writer needs to manage time better since the workload is abundant. With the workload and responsibilities given, writer works hard to learn faster so that all assignments can be done according to time limit. By conducting this Industrial Placement, writer recommends the juniors who will take Industrial Placement in hotel to prepare their mental and to fix their attitude so that can have a good time during Industrial Placement.
