Abstract

The purpose of Industrial Placement is to improve the skill and knowledge of the student in Room Division, especially in the Front Office Department. The program has been started from 8 July 2019 until 8 January 2020. The program is very important for the writer because the writer can learn about the real hotel industry and increase practical knowledge for self-development. This report is made as a partial fulfilment in the course curriculum and hopefully can provide detailed information about what activities are conducted or how the real industry works for the readers. During the Industrial Placement, there were some problems that occur such a writer's lack of experience and confusion since this is the writer's first experience working in the hotel field and dealing directly with guests. However, the problem can be solved with high curiosity, never giving up for learning and good coordination with fellow trainees and staff. For more information, this report contains specific procedures and workflows during Industrial Placement. This document describes all the details about the activities carried out during the Industrial Placement from 8 July 2019 to 8 January 2020. This information can be a reference or comparison for other Industrial Placement or curriculum course on campus.
