Abstract

Sejak 2014 hingga saat ini, industri musik di dunia selalu mengalami peningkatan pendapatan. Pertumbuhan ini selaras dengan berkembangnya industri musik di Korea Selatan atau yang dikenal K-pop. Adanya pandemi virus COVID-19 memberikan dampak pula pada dunia hiburan musik. Pandemi inilah yang mendorong para pelaku musik untuk berinovasi agar terus bisa menghibur para penggemar dengan metode baru sehingga banyak bermuncula sebuah event online concert pada masa pandemi ini. Map of The Soul ON:E merupakan salah satu event virtual yaitu konser online yang diadakan oleh BTS (boyband asal Korea Selatan) pada 2020. Adanya kebaruan ini, mendorong peneliti untuk meneliti pengaruh event virtual konser online terhadap experience para penontonnya. Penelitian kali ini menggunakan konsep special event dari Doty dalam Pudjiastuti (2010) dengan 5 dimensi yaitu timing, promotions, trends, news value, dan unexpected features. Serta konsep event experience dari Sevil et al. dengan 3 dimensi yaitu emotional experience, escapist and relaxing experience, dan nostalgic and social experience. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh penonton Map of The Soul ON:E dengan jumlah 993.000 penonton dan dengan rumus Isaac dan Michael sebanyak 348 responden diambil sebagai sampel. Jawaban dari responden diolah menggunakan SPSS versi 25. Hasil dari penelitian ditemukan bahwa ada pengaruh sebesar 38,3% dan signifikansi sebesar 0,000. Maka, dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara event online concert terhadap event experience sebesar 38,3% sedangkan 61,7% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain.
