Abstract
Make-up and hairstyle is the first impression of the film. Something that immediately catches the eyes of the audience. Make-up department, consists of make-up and hairstyle, is one of the crucial elements in the film. It strengthens the look of a film. Retro Adam is a comic sci-fi film. It gives a lot of futuristic elements in each character. Applying detailed make-up to the characters, e.g. Sahid when he was at Mount Fuji, Mrs. President in the office scene, and the feminist police, enhances the futuristic elements in this film. This final report entitled “The Application of Character Make-up and Hairstyle on Retro Adam" describes the application of things needed to build up the character in Retro Adam in terms of theory and practical matters.
