Catherine, Catherine (2021) Pengaruh Trait Anger, Trait Anxiety, Overconfidence, Herding Effect, dan Self-Monitoring terhadap Investment Decision: Telaah pada Investor Saham Generasi Milenial di Pulau Jawa. Bachelor Thesis thesis, Universitas Multimedia Nusantara.
Abstract
Recently, more and more people in Indonesia are familiar with investing. In investing in the capital market, investors generally use analysis and calculations when making investment decisions. However, studies related to financial behavior reveal that humans do not behave as rationally as economists think in making their decisions. There are several behavioral biases that are thought to have an influence on investment decisions, namely trait anger, trait anxiety, overconfidence, herding effect, and selfmonitoring. So, this study was conducted to test whether there was an effect of these variables on investment decisions of millennial generation stock investors in Java island. This study uses multiple linear regression tests using the SPSS version 24. The test results show that trait anger, trait anxiety, overconfidence, and herding effect have no significant effect on investors' investment decisions, while the self-monitoring variable was found to have a significant effect for millennial generation stock investors on the island of Java. Thus, investors need to build a good investment environment to make good investment decisions.
