The aim of the study is to have a sufficient understanding regarding the character image of the Javanese superhero called Arjuna-that is how the respondents visualize Arjuna–a character of a local superhero (Indonesia). As in practice, it is found that the imagery of Arjuna appeared to be contrast; it is neither similar to Western masculinity superhero nor to Manga superhero characters. Even though there is an influx of media exposure from Western and Non-Western superhero, however, the image of the hero does not excessively look like manga or overly muscular.
