Abstract

The author’s internship process at Strait Merchants Capital Ltd. was done remotely, for the duration of 61 workdays from 7th July 2021 to 8th October 2021. Strait Merchants Capital Ltd. is a boutique investment banking firm located in Jakarta. During the internship, the author was placed as an intern in the corporate finance division, and was tasked to do financial statements research, analysis, and comparison, company or project profile research and summary, and industry overview research. For the most part, all assignments and tasks were able to be completed without any significant problems. This report will focus on the author’s internship experience at Strait Merchants Capital Ltd, however this report will also include the company profile of Strait Merchants Capital Ltd. and some brief definitions of a few key terms related to the industry of investment banking
