Abstract

Investment is an asset or item acquired to gain income over time from the investment (Hayes, 2021). There is an upsurge of capital market investors over the past years in Indonesia. The increase of financial inclusions index in 2019 to 76.19%, illustrates the increase in public access to these institutions. Although the knowledge of the financial products themselves is still limited since the financial literacy index in 2019 only reached a percentage of 38.03%. Low financial literacy could affect the investor's financial planning and the financial behavior itself. Resulting in poor financial planning and impulsive behavior by the investors. On this occasion, the writer did an internship as an investor educator in Universitas Multimedia Nusantara Investment Gallery under the business faculty. During the internship, the writer is responsible for creating an event collaborating with Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Securities Investor Protection Fund (SIPF), and Phillip Sekuritas Indonesia to educate college students about investment. In addition, the writer also takes part in making a journal on the subject of financial literacy and stock gamification. Along with the internship, the writer face obstacle mainly because of miscommunication between the internal and external parties that affected the tasks. Nevertheless, the obstacle could be handled well. As an investor educator, the writer becomes aware of the importance of communication in event management.
