Abstract

Deepavali adalah festival cahaya yang dirayakan oleh orang-orang India. Festival ini juga dirayakan di Singapura karena banyak penduduk yang tinggal di sana berasal dari India. Tahun lalu, Superpixel Pte. Ltd mengucapkan `Selamat Hari Deepavali" kepada orang-orang India dalam bentuk video animasi newsletter. Penulis yang sekarang ini sedang melaksanakan magang di Superpixel Pte. Ltd ditugaskan untuk membuat animasi newsletter dalam bentuk 2D Motion Graphic. Hal yang penulis harus perhatikan adalah perancangan asetnya. Dalam perancangan aset yang pertama kali penulis lakukan adalah mencari tahu tentang festival Deepavali dan sejarahnya. Selain melakukan penelitian, penulis juga mencari referensi yang bisa menjadi ide dalam perancangan aset. Dari hasil penelitian serta pencarian referensi, penulis dapat merancang aset yang dibutuhkan berdasarkan sketsa aset sampai penentuan base color. Penulis berharap dengan perancangan aset ini dapat menghasilkan animasi newsletter yang dapat mempresentasikan tema Deepavali di animasi tersebut.
