Abstract

Film animasi sebagai media bercerita terus berkembang seiring dengan berjalannya waktu. Tahap pengerjaan animasi atau animating menjadi salah satu proses penting dalam pembuatan film animasi. Proses animating dilakukan untuk dapat mencapai kesan hidup dalam gerakan objek tersebut. The Sewer merupakan film pendek animasi dengan media 3D bergenre drama yang mengangkat tema feminisme dengan membahas isu terkait value seorang wanita. Penulis akan membahas mengenai perancangan animasi pergerakan tokoh Ayu dalam adegan menjahit di film The Sewer. Melalui proses perancangan gerakan ini, penulis ingin menerapkan teori bahasa tubuh, gestur tubuh, ekspresi, gerakan menjahit dan prinsip animasi follow through and overlapping action, secondary action serta exaggeration. Penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, studi pustaka dan melakukan eksperimen gerak sebagai acuan.
