Abstract

Karya yang dibahas dalam skripsi ini berjudul Rumongso Menungso, Rumongso Menungso berasal dari bahasa Jawa, Rumongso (Rumangsamu) yang artinya perasaanmu atau merasakan, sedangkan Menungso artinya adalah manusia. Keputusan kreatif seorang editor untuk membuat sebuah alur sangat penting untuk membangun emosi dari penonton, teori utama yang digunakan karya Walter Murch dalam bukunya yang berjudul "In The Blink of an Eye", Bordwell dalam bukunya yang berjudul "Making Meaning: Inference and Rhetoric in the Interpretation of Cinema", Roland Barthes (1968) dalam karya tulisnya yang berjudul "Elements of Semiology, serta teori pendukung Sergei Eiseinstein dalam karaya tulisnya Film Form: "Essays in Film Theory". Pemanfaatan montase tonal berpengaruh memperjelas visual dalam membagun emosi karakter. Selama perjalanan proyek ini, penulis merasakan pentingnya aspek kolaboratif dalam dunia penyuntingan. Mengambil keputusan kreatif sebagai seorang editor melibatkan banyak pertimbangan yang kompleks. Penulis memahami bahwa setiap keputusan yang diambil harus sejalan dengan visi sutradara, namun juga harus mempertimbangkan elemen-elemen kreatif yang menyokongnya
