Abstract

Untuk Penulisan ini, penulis akan membahas perancangan shot dalam animasi hybrid pendek "Nendo's Story" yang didasarkan emosi putus asa yang dirasakan oleh tokoh Nendo. Untuk bisa memahami perancangan shot yang akan digunakan, perlu diketahui bahwa masing - masing jarak dan posisi kamera dengan subjek serta komposisi dalam shot memiliki maksud tersendiri. Untuk teori dalam pembahasan ini, penulis menggunakan teori jarak, posisi, dan komposisi kamera seperti high angle, low angle, medium shot, long shot, rule of third dan contrast. Teori lainnya yang berfungsi sebagai teori pendukung adalah teori emosi putus asa yang dibantu oleh teori roda emosi yang dibuat oleh Plutchik untuk memudahkan penulis menjelaskan kondisi Nendo. Untuk hasil penelitian terhadap 2 shot, dapat diketahui tokoh Nendo mengalami emosi putus asa. Emosi tersebut berdasarkan roda emosi Plutchik didapatkan dari rasa takut dan sedih. Rasa putus asa yang tercipta memiliki penyebab yang berbeda dari kedua shot yang dipilih. Rasa putus asa yang dirasakan tokoh Nendo di scene 5 shot 6 terdiri dari rasa sedih yang tercipta karena dirinya yang digantikan oleh konsol baru serta rasa takut karena ia merasa akan dibuang karena sudah tidak berguna. Berbeda dengan shot sebelumnya, rasa putus asa yang dirasakan tokoh Nendo di scene 5 shot 7 terdiri dari rasa sedih yang tercipta karena telah dibuang oleh seseorang yang dipercayai serta rasa takut karena tokoh Nendo harus terpaksa tinggal sendiri tanpa perlindungan.
