Abstract

The internship was conducted at Kompas Gramedia in Accounting Department. During the internship, the main role was to provide an accounting service for PI Bina Media Tenggara, PT Niskala Media Tenggara, PI Jasatama Polamedia, PI Polamedia Cipta Musantara, PT Transito Tata Media, Adm. Kesehatan, PT Wahana MediantaraBhakti, PT Jayamulia Primaabadi, and Koperasi Gemah Ripah. Performing an accounting services started from input the receipt and disbursement of cash and bank according to the evidence, made the memorial journals, updated the subsidiary ledgers, and prepared the financial statements for June, July, August, and September 2017. All of documents needed were given by the messenger of accounting staff and from the business units. During the internship, most ofthe tasks can be executed properly. There are some constraints found during the work that preventing the w work to be done properly such as incorrect account recording in cash evidence, balance differences between General Ledger and Finance Division, incomplete proof attachment. The company was expected to improve the information system where they need to update the newest accou unt pumber a and provi vided the evider of the financial statements need to be updated based on the PSAK In the fiture, the dence property. In addition the tile company needs to improve their system so that the accounting cycle will be more effective and efficient without having to make it in another software before it is being input on the General Ledger
