Abstract

Rape Culture in Indonesia has been normalized since before colonization era. There are many cases in Indonesia where the victims are punished and even imprisoned instead of the perpetrators due to the lack of law for human rights regarding violence and sexual assault in the country. Over 90% of rape cases in Indonesia go unreported due to the fear of victim blaming and shaming. The author made Say It As It Is podcast to open the eyes of society regarding rape culture, from the millennials to the Z generation, who are practicing rape culture or are not aware of the culture that is being practiced and happening around us, as well as how it affects the victims and us as a society. It is both an expository and a reflexive using a narrative approach that focuses on the society that normalizes rape culture with the help of well-known specialists and analysts that are Siti Aminah Tardi, Nur Hasyim, and Ayu Regina Yolandasari. Presented in four 12-20 minute episodes, Say It As It Is podcast can be heard on Spotify via the following link https://open.spotify.com/show/6kgcmRWHzTOktwNO3P4ZYm?si=5385a47ca15 14399
