Abstract

Natural Sciences is a subject that is considered difficult by most students of Elementary School in Indonesia. It is caused by a less precise way of teaching and lack of facilities in schools to support science teaching and learning activities at the elementary level. To increase the interest of elementary students towards science subjects are closer then the required media science with the students. So that students can feel that IPA is in daily life, namely, by using a simple experiment illustrated book that can be done at home. The research method applied in primary and secondary data collection using case studies and interviews to memjelas problems that occur and secondary data collection using literature. The data obtained will be analyzed to be the basis for designing simple experiments illustrated book. The results of the research will be the reference and basic concept in making book illustrations so that parents and students can support each other in order to understand and apply science in everyday life. This illustrated book is expected to reach the whole community because of the tools and materials used readily available and affordable
