Abstract

Documentary film titled “Golek” is a documentary film that use expository as it type. This film tells about the life of mr.Entang who struggle and survive in his profession to fulfill his needs in the modern era. Mr.Entang is people who work as craftsmen of wooden puppets. He remained loyal to his profession makes the wooden puppets until now to fulfill his needs. He did not just make and sell wooden puppets to fulfill his needs, but also to maintain the tradition of Sundanese to avoid extinction. The writer worked as a director in this TA project. As a director, writer tasked to define the vision that will be formed in the film. Not only that, the director also has a responsibility in every phase of the work began on the development of ideas, pre-production, production, and post-production in the making of expository documentary film.
