Abstract

This thesis contains theories, analysis, and the result about character design. In this thesiswriter willexplain how to design a character for a short film with semi realist style named "Rick the Scavenger" and the main character works as arkeolog named Rick. This thesis aims to find an idea that will support the making of animated short films and designing a good character.In addition based on a background of the character Rick arkeolog, this report will discuss character traits arkeolog. The research methodology will be done in three ways, firts analisist the literature related to the research, interviews with the espert and observations of animated films. It is expected that these results can help authors and readers in the design of an animated character.
