Abstract

The internship was conducted at Suganda Akna Suhri dan Rekan Public Accounting Firm in reporting and audit division. In reporting division, the main task was to translate the management letter. The management letter, which was written by the senior auditor before in Indonesian language must be translated into an english-formal-business language. While in audit division, the main task was to perform audit for client’s company in order to express assurance opinion on their financial statement. The task that were done during the internship period are vouching and preparing the income statement and the statement of financial position. The other task were to review depreciation of fixed asset, footing and cross footing. The tasks were guided and supervised by the senior. The given tasks can be completed properly in time. However, there are some difficulties that occurred such as difficulties in finding the appropriate word for management letter translation, scattered files, data pending, data incompleteness and personel lacking in performing audit. To solve those difficulties stated above, we should search the internet and thesaurus’ dictionary in order to find the appropriate word in translating the management letter. While for the scattered data difficulties, we should arrange all of the file first to get rid of mischecking datas. For the data pending and data incompleteness, we should write a data recquisition letter to the client’s company and wait for their respond. And for personel lacking difficulty, we should just ask the the other staff such like the senior or supervisor to help us in performing the audit.
