Abstract
Internship is a step that needs to be taken so that students can recognize what the working world. With the internship, we can apply the knowledge they have learned into the world of work and learn new things that are not available during the school term. Internship is done in a public accounting firm Herman Dody Tanumihardja & Partners with a position as a junior auditor. During the internships, the author was given the tasks related to the audit process and also tasks related to administration. Assignments given during internships include a review of financial statements, revising financial statements, preparing audit working paper, making bank confirmation letter and receivables confirmastion letter, stock opname, cash opname, recapitulation audit fees and audit opinion. Internships in which the author faced with several obstacles while working on assigned tasks such as financial reports reviewed were incompatible with the generally accepted accounting standards. Solution to overcome this obstacle is to contact the client by phone and / or email to ask for an explanation for the discrepancy that occurs
