Abstract

The internship was conducted at Suganda Akna Suhri and Partner Certified Public Accountant firm as Junior Financial Advisor and Junior Auditor. During the internship, the author has handled 2 companies, such as PT MSD, and PT CCG. The main task was to prepare the financial statement in order to go public, input the invoice to the contract revenue report, make a recapitulation of the tax notification letter, make an aging schedule for account receivable and account payable, prepare the data request from investor related to the due diligence process for go public preparation and perform a physical checks of petty cash, fixed assets, and inventories. During the internship some tasks can be completed properly but also there are some problems that occur in the companies that are being handled. The first problem is there are some differences between the recapitulation results of tax notification letter with the data in general ledger. The second problem is there are some differences between the fixed assets data from the company with the actual amount of fiexed assets exists in the field. A good financial statement should be able to be prepared in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), give an accurate information for users to make an economic decision and specially for company which going to listed in Bursa Efek Indonesia (go public).
