Abstract

Penderita Hepatitis B di Indonesia meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Menurut Kemenkes (2015), sejak 2006 hingga 2013, pertumbuhan penderita hepatitis B meningkat hingga dua kali lipat dan pada 2013 persentase menjadi 1,2% atau sejumlah 2.981.075 jiwa. Terus meningkatnya jumlah penderita hepatitis B di Indonesia dikarenakan sebagian besar masyarakat tidak mengetahui tentang penyakit hepatitis B, dan mereka yang terinfeksi tidak mengetahui sampai penyakit berkembang menjadi lebih serius seperti sirosis atau bahkan kanker hati. Maka dari itu, dibutukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat mengenai hepatitis B mulai dari definisi, pencegahan hingga penanganannya.
