Abstract

Public Relations adalah fungsi manajemen yang membangun dan mempertahankan hubungan yang baik antara organisasi dan publiknya. Dewasa ini, perusahaan telah menjalankan peran dan fungsi Public Relations ke dalam bidang baru Marketing Communication dalam upaya menghadapi persaingan bisnis yang semakin ketat. Siloam Hospitals Kebon Jeruk (SHKJ) merupakan salah satu rumah sakit yang telah menjalankan peran dan fungsi Public Relations ke dalam aktivitas marketing communication dengan ruang lingkup Advertising, Direct Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Sales Promotion, Customer Relationship Management, Event Management, Media Relations, Public Relations Writing, Community Relations, dan Corporate Social Responsibility. Melalui praktik kerja magang pada Divisi Marketing Communication SHKJ dalam kurun waktu tiga bulan, penulis dapat mengetahui bahwa peran dan fungsi Public Relations yang dijalankan mengacu pada tujuan utama organisasi. Adapun pelaksanaan kerja magang ini dapat dijadikan sebagai pembelajaran tentang aplikasi dari peran dan fungsi Public Relations di dalam suatu organisasi.
