Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh job stress terhadap job performance dan emotional intellingence sebagai intervening antara stres kerja dengan job performance. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh petugas pemadam kebakaran di Suku Dinas Penanggulangan Kebakaran dan Penyelamatan Kota Administrasi Jakarta Barat. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive/judgemental sampling, responden diambil dari petugas pemadam kebakaran sebanyak 50 responden. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana dan analisis jalur. Hasil dari analisis regresi sederhana menunjukkan bahwa job stress tidak berpengaruh negatif terhadap job performance. Sedangkan hasil dari analisis jalur menunjukkan bahwa emotional intellingence sebagai mediator pengaruh job stress terhadap job performance. Hasil tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa emotional intellingence melemahkan pengaruh job stress terhadap job performance.
