Abstract
The purpose of this research was to examine the effect of information technology sophistication, personal technical skills, employee accounting knowledge, and utilization of information technology on the effectiveness of accounting information systems. The object of this research is manufacturing company in Bekasi, Jakarta, and Tangerang area that use accounting information system. Data used in this study was primary data using questionnaires. The respondents in this study were 144 who are employees which use accounting information system. Data analysis techniques in this study using multiple llinear regression. The results of this research are: (1) the sophistication of information technology has an affect toward the effectiveness of accounting information systems, (2) the ability of personal techniques has an affect toward the effectiveness of accounting information systems, (3) employee accounting knowledge has an affects toward the effectiveness of accounting information systems, (4) utilization of information technology has an affect toward the effectiveness of accounting information systems.
