Abstract

Tipografi adalah jembatan yang menghubungkan desain dengan bahasa, tipogafi tidak dapat dirancang tanpa adanya typeface. Kurangnya typeface yang spesifik di Indonesia membuat tipografi di Indonesia tidak dikenal sebagai Indonesia. Aksara Jawa merupakan salah satu kebudayaan yang bisa diangkat sebagai pondasi tipografi di Indonesia, dengan identitas sebagai budaya yang kuat dan gaya huruf yang mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Dalam perancangan ini penulis ini penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif agar mendapatkan akar permasalahan yang terdalam. Hasil akhir dari perancangan adalah font, type specimen book.
