Abstract

The design of the characters needs to be carefully thought through. There are many theories in the design of a character and we must understand the theory we want to be able to apply the theory to the character in the animation titled Tarman: Dendam Kesumat. Some theories such as Three Dimensional Character, archetype and color are used to create the desired character. In this report the author also conducts research on Banten in the 15th - 16th century to get a picture of a supporting information such as the pattern of life and characteristics that will be used in the design of characters in this report. The design methodology is aided by observations from various films to get references to changes and contrasts on the characters. The final result of this report is used to create characters that appear in contrast to each other in the animation Tarman: Dendam Kesumat.
