Abstract

Assistant director is the director's right hand and the person who prepares everything for filming purposes. A good assistant directormust be able to manage time well so that the film production activities may run as scheduled, from preproduction to production stage. This final report discusses the role of an assistant director in the film Venatus. The study focuses on the making of the script breakdown, call sheets, shooting schedule, and conveying the director’s wishes to the crew. If necessary, a good assistant director must be able to reschedule filming on location if any unexpected occurance happens. Things that can mess up the shooting schedule is like talent who comes late to location and any other lateness caused by traffic jam. This final report is aimed to share knowledge about the role of assistant director in a film production and how to create a script breakdown, call sheets and shooting schedules.
