Abstract

As a Hotel Operations student at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara, required to do Industrial Placement Program two times. For the second Industrial Placement Program the writer was accepted at The Apurva Kempinski Bali in the food and beverage service department. The Apurva Kempinski Hotel is a luxurious 5-stars hotel and international chain hotel under Global Hotel Alliance (GHA). The purpose about this Industrial Placement Program is to fulfill graduation requirements as the student of Hotel Operations because all of the students of Hotel Operations Program at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara have to pass this course, to help the writer in writing the Industrial Placement Program Report, to enhance the writer skill in hotel industry, especially in Food and Beverage Service Department and for giving information to juniors about writer experience during the Industrial Placement Program. During the Industrial Placement Program from 20th January until 25th March, the writer was placed in the executive lounge and villa lounge which is the writer must serve guests when they have breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails. As a Food and Beverage service agent, the writer has coordination with other departments to fulfill the guest needs and comfort. During the Industrial Placement Program the writer found some problem for the communication with guests who cannot speak English and problem when talking with guests about Bali, because the writer doesn't know much about Bali. Last, writer hopes this Industrial Placement Program can help writers to improve skills in food and beverage service and enhance more experience in this industry.
