Abstract

Pacu Jalur adalah festival rakyat kebanggan masyarakat Kuantan Singingi yang bentuk festivalnya berupa lomba dayung perahu di sungai Batang Kuantan. Perahu yang berukuran kurang lebih tiga puluh sampai empat puluh meter yang terbuat dari sebatang pohon yang di dayung mencapai lima puluh sampai enam puluh orang. Festival Pacu Jalur berlangsung setiap tahun di hari kemerdekaan Indonesia di luar Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. Dengan demikian perlu adanya media promosi untuk mempromosikan festival budaya Pacu Jalur. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatf (wawancara) dan kuantitatif (survei), studi ini menghasilkan perancangan media promosi festival budaya perahu Pacu Jalur untuk memberikan informasi tentang festival budaya perahu Pacu Jalur di Provinsi Riau.
