Abstract

The writer is a student of the Hotel Operations program. The writer has completed Industrial Placement at the UMN dormitory .The program take 4 months. This program aims to increase knowledge and skills in the hospitality industry. And it is also hoped that the writer will gain working experience in the hospitality industry. UMN dormitory is a facility provided by the UMN for students who live outside Jabodetabek. UMN dormitory has quite complete facilities. When the writer did an Industrial Placement in the dormitory, the writer was in charge of cleaning public areas and rooms. For the public area, the writer clean the building area, garden and other public facilities. When the writer did an Industrial Placement in the dormitory, the writer experienced several problems such as the staff not explaining in detail how to clean an area. To overcome this problem, the solution is to make SOP and also the staff explains the SOP in detail before giving assignments to students.
