Abstract

Tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai rumah ibadat, kelenteng memiliki peran sebagai pusat pemeliharaan kebudayaan Tionghoa, wadah yang menampung jalinan kebudayaan Tionghoa dengan kebudayaan masyarakat lokal, serta kawasan kegiatan sosial yang mendekatkan hubungan masyarakat keturunan Tionghoa dengan masyarakat lokal yang ada di sekitar wilayah kelenteng. Pengunjung yang datang ke kelenteng hanya mengandalkan pengelola kelenteng untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai kebudayaan Tionghoa. Belum ada media informasi yang cakap untuk menyampaikan informasi kebudayaan Tionghoa. Selain itu perbedaan cara penyampaian informasi oleh pengelola kelenteng menyebabkan informasi yang disampaikan tidak memiliki kredibilitas yang sama. Oleh karena itu penulis melakukan perancangan website mengenai kebudayaan Tionghoa dalam ruang lingkup kelenteng, sehingga kemudahan untuk mendapatkan informasi yang kredibel dapat tercapai. Penulis menggunakan metode perancangan Robin Landa yang mencakup proses orientation, analysis, conception, design dan implementation.
