Abstract

Skripsi ini membahas mengenai penginterpretasian sutradara terhadap cerita-cerita dalam Alkitab ke dalam bentuk film melalui mise-en-scéne yang terdapat dalam film religi Kristiani The Passion of the Christ. Terutama akan dibahas mengenai bagaimana seorang sutradara dapat mewujudkan hagiopic—film mengenai tokoh Kristen yang telah dikenal masyarakat secara luas melalui elemen-elemen miseen-scéne seperti aktor, rambut, make up dan kostum.
