Abstract

The purpose of an industrial placement program is to prepare the student in the workplace. All of the students of the hotel operation program in Universitas Multimedia Nusantara have to do the industrial placement program in the third semester. This Industrial placement is aimed at fulfilling grades in the third semester and also training the student to apply their knowledge in the workplace. The industrial placement took six months from July 2021 to January 2022. The writer joins as a housekeeper. During the industrial placement, the writer faces various challenges starting from guest complaints, work pressure, and others. The challenge that the writer face can make the writer learn about how to solve a problem, how to work under pressure besides that the writer also can develop the skills, knowledge and make a good network with the guest and the staff. The writer also got the good experience during the industrial placement.
