Abstract

Production House merupakan sebuah bisnis yang menghasilkan sebuah konten yang berbentuk dan berada di berbagai medium. Beberapa contoh medium tersebut adalah film, serial atau disebut juga film televisi, musik, video games, musik video, komik, film animasi dan digital vfx artist. Biasanya sebutan production company atau production house lebih sering digunakan untuk pekerjaan yang berfokus pada pembuatan film production companies saja. Sementara seperti video games, komik, dan digital vfx artist tidak mendapat julukan production house. Seiring berkembangnya zaman, production house memiliki kerja sama dengan beberapa studio ­ studio besar untuk bertahan hidup. Production house ini berlangganan dengan studio dan membuat film atas nama studio tersebut. Namun, ada juga production house yang berdiri sendiri atau independen (indie) dan tidak memiliki ikatan kepada studio besar. Mereka akan membuat konten sendiri yang kemudian dapat dijual atau disebarkan melalui film festival atau melalui layanan OTT.
