Abstract

As part of the requirement for a bachelor degree at the University, an internship project was conducted at PT Sukoarto Teko Wijoyo (also known as Arto Group). The project was conducted within the Consultant Department of the company, which dealt with Accounting Information System (AIS) Implementation. During the internship, the student was involved in the AIS implementation of 3 companies which consisted of PT Baya Indonesia, PT Daham Indo Perkasa, and PT Air Sirih Bersinar. The activities carried out within the project included system implementation of MYOB accounting program in three client companies. Several obstacles emerged during the internship project, which included difficulties in reconciling the differences between the companies’ aspiration and the MYOB program’s capabilities. In order to resolve the above-mentioned issues, the consultant team and the student gave some alternatives to the companies, so that they fulfill their aspiration through the adoption of the new MYOB system while making minimum change to the companies’ current policies and accounting methods
