Abstract

The internship was conducted at PT Matahari Department Store and during the period is assigned to help Financial Reporting & MIS. The task that was done during the internship are updating company's leasing agreement, creating a database regarding leasing agreement, inputting transaction regarding account receivable, reconciliation of paid account receivable, creating a financial statement template, inputting data to electricity and communication expense analysis working paper. During the internship, most of the tasks can be executed without difficulties, however few problem was encountered. The problem encountered is a minor miscalculation in the company's data and some of the data were unreadable, the lack of a proper data storage which results in random order. There was a problem regarding the application which is used to create a financial statement template. The available application which can be used is outdated and thus if printed in the newer version some differences occurs that will need to be corrected. In order to solve these problems, we consult to our senior in order to find a solution. Asides consulting with senior, trial and error are also used to solve these problems, and during some instances footing will also solve these problems.
