Abstract

Sekitar 95% dari apa yang penonton lihat dalam film animasi adalah environment. Film-film animasi yang menjadi referensi penulis menggunakan style penggambaran semi realistis pada environment. Penggambaran semi realistis dirancang dengan menambah atau mengurangi atribut seperti tekstur, cahaya, dan juga refleksi dari foto yang menjadi acuan. Untuk mendapatkan penggambaran style semi realistis, penulis melakukan dokumentasi untuk mendapatkan foto acuan, lalu melakukan eksplorasi. Dalam proses perancangan yang dilakukan, penulis menemukan hal penting yaitu setiap film-film yang bergaya semi realistis memiliki parameter yang berbeda-beda terlihat dari jumlah atribut masing-masing film. Hal itu menjadi acuan penulis untuk membuat penggambaran style semi realistis yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan film “There is Rain before the Rainbow”.
