Abstract

PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk. (BFI Finance) is one of the famous and the oldest independent multifinance companies in Indonesia. BFI Finance celebrates its 31th in leasing and consumer financing this year. Today, it has 185 outlets and over 5000 employees than span the archipelago of Indonesia. The excellent services and automated processes are the challenges to be the winner in this competition. To support the operational activity especially cash flow management, BFI Finance has Finance & Treasury Department. This department is responsible to manage daily transaction and bring efficiency about cash inflow and cash outflow. Treasury Department manages cash inflow from bank in term of loan and also takes responsibility for managing the placement of the fund. Finance Department manages cash outflow to customers, suppliers, insurances, notaries, and its branches for running operational activities. During the operational transaction, Finance & Treasury Department is supported by integrated system, called CONFINS. BFI Finance gives the opportunity for university student to learn about leasing and consumer financing through internship program. As an intern, the writer believes that the technique of cash management plays important role to support Finance & Treasury Department.
